Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Warmly greet all who come in, make them feel seen and taken care of right away

  • Share your curiosity and excitement about life, coffee, our community, and your workmates 

  • Make OMC a bright spot in people’s day: keep the space welcoming, beautiful, vibrant, and cozy

  • Make delicious drinks and serve them with warmth & generosity

  • Taste and learn our menu so you can guide people through it and take orders with patience and confidence

  • Accommodate special requests and needs with enthusiasm and chill. It’s not “us vs. them”, the people on the other side of the counter are friends. There’s no room for a disgruntled service attitude or tourists as enemies

  • Work at a good tempo, not “in the weeds,” nor lethargically

  • When there’s a line, acknowledge people while they’re waiting

  • Proudly prepare and serve all drinks, regularly tasting and dialing-in so every drink is beautiful and wildly delicious. 

  • Help keep the space stocked, beautiful, and welcoming. Including but not limited to sanitizing, clearing tables, washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and stocking the bar, taking out trash, recyclables, and compost as needed.

  • Previous barista experience

  • A love for coffee

  • Physically make coffee, clean, and restock given any accommodations we can reasonably co-create
